Teak of the week

  • Frater WK Johnston III M.D. for donating $250 towards our fall rush shirts.

  • TKE Facts

In 2007‐08, TKE conducted more than 120,000 hours equaling more than $2.4 million in donated time, which averages to nearly 600 hours per chapter or 13 hours per member. TKE also raised nearly $500,000 for philanthropic causes, which averages to almost $2,500 per chapter and more than $50 per member.

Through TKE you have the opportunity to meet others on campus and in the community through involvement in organizations, events, mixers with sororities, intramurals, educational programs, and more...

100 of the 158 cabinet members since 1900 have been fraternity men

Tau Kappa Epsilon s Educational Foundation provides more than 90 scholarships, totaling nearly $100,000.

With more than 270 chapters across North America, there are many TKE chapters to visit when on the road traveling to games as a spectator.

TKE has 27 Professional Staff Members and Hundreds of Volunteer Staff Members across the U.S. and Canada who work with undergraduates to improve and grow their chapters.

Greek Life aims to bring together a community of committed leaders. And TKE believes leadership is impact and influence, not title or authority. So whether you are an officer, committee member, or just a member, you can mold, enhance, and demonstrate your leadership capabilities in TKE.

When recruiting new members, TKE considers men "not for wealth, rank, or honor; but for personal worth and character."

The TKE Educational Foundation provides hundreds of thousands of dollars for educational programming and scholarships, all for our members.

TKE isn't just an undergraduate fraternity experience, but a lifelong brotherhood.

TKE offers extensive leadership education opportunities, including: Regional Leadership Conferences, The Charles R. Walgreen TKE Leadership Academy, Conclave (our biennial fraternity‐wide conference), and grants for programs such as the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI) and Futures Quest, as well as many more.

Tau Kappa Epsilon offers a team setting which allows an athlete to transfer his leadership skills from the athletic field into heir chapter, campus and community.

TKE believes the essential elements of brotherhood are love, charity, and esteem...thus placing value on personal relationships, diversity, and generosity toward all.

TKE focuses on balancing your in classroom learning with hands on, out of classroom experiences. Think of it this way your college classes provide the knowledge base for your future, while TKE enhances your experience level and gives you the opportunity to apply what you have learned.

40 of the 47 Supreme Court Justices since 1910 have been fraternity men.

All but 3 United States Presidents since 1825 have been fraternity men

Tau Kappa Epsilon publishes a quarterly magazine titled The Teke.

The highest ranking frater in the United States Armed forces is General Joe Ralston, Frater Joe is Supreme Commander of NATO at the moment. 09-29-01

What is the official flower of Tau Kappa Epsilon?

    The red carnation

Approximately 80% of all Fortune 500 executives are fraternity men

Studies show that 76 percent of Congress, 71 percent of the men listed in "Who's Who in America," and 85 percent of the Fortune 500 executives belong to a fraternity.

Hey everyone, my name is Steven Cross and I am the Rush Chairman. I am a fourth year, Managerial Economics major. I enjoy snowboarding and basketball more than anything. I work at Uncle Vito's Bar downtown and am a stand up comedian. I owe a lot to TKE. Two jobs, an internship, leadership skills, studying buddies, a place to live, many crazy and wonderful memories, and above all, true BROTHERHOOD are just some of the things Tau Kappa Epsilon has given me. If you seek to be better, come see if TKE is for you...

With any questions about TKE, UC Davis, Fraternity life, Rush week or anything. I am a man of few words except when it comes to Tau Kappa Epsilon...

Tau Kappa Epsilon is all about brotherhood. We hold a man's personal worth above their rank in society. My life has been enriched by all the memories and experiecnes I have shared with the 50+ brothers in the house. Camping trips, kayaking trips, soccer games, basketball games, fundraising, studying, playing video games, snowboarding, partying, skateboarding, and sharing life stories are just some of the many things I have done with TKE's over the years. Let us be clear, WE ARE THE LARGEST FRATERNITY IN THE NATION! but we're not the best because we're the biggest, we're the biggest because we're the best...if you hold yourself to high standards as do all Tekes and want to become a part of this amazing brotherhood, feel free to stop by 1st & A during rush week.
